The Smalltown Hunting Blend; a staple in our turkey lineup. Combining the knockdown power and mass of 7 1/2s with the pattern density of 9s we created the ultimate duplex. We stack the ratio of 7 1/2s on top of our 9s resulting in a uniform and dense pattern up close, or when you need that extra 10 yards. Each round is hand-built and human eye reviewed for quality control ensuring maximum accountability and shot-to-shot consistency. Small town made, big time patterns.

I purchased these shells and was not disapointed. I have an 835 Mossberg and a Carlson choke, this is a deadly combination. I have taken birds out to 50 yds with ease. Love this combination......

You have got to try this load! It is devastating! I shot two longbeards this season, one at 35 yards and the second at 55 yards. Both shots dropped the birds in their tracks and both flopped for maybe 3-5 seconds before not moving again. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry. My setup is a Mossberg 835 with 20” barrel, Indian Creek .675 choke and the 3 “ STHB in 12 gauge.

Absolutely insane pattern. Tested to 70 yards and the patter held tight, over 30 pellets in the head and neck! I harvested 3 birds this season with the 3 1/2 shells and they preformed flawlessly!

Superior shot! I switched from LB's (since 2014) this season to the small town blend. Just completed my Gram Slam on a Rio at 50 yards. It delivered a devastating head blow flipping the 19Lb bird on its back! Get these in your tool box. Period.

Shot the 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch for years out of a Remington 870 super mag with an Indian creek choke. Hold onto that gun and your bird will be at the end of it. Stone cold dead. No floppin. No kickin. Just DEAD

My 15 year old son Gabriel used these Smalltown 1 5/8 ounce loads this past spring in his 20 gauge Remington 870 to harvest 1 Jake, and 3 Tom's tagging out in Illinois and Michigan. Gabriel went 4/4 last spring, and he will be using them again with confidence this spring. These are absolutely amazing loads for turkey ! I now use a benelli SBE 4 20 gage. In Va. 2023 spring I had a couple long beards @ 50 +yards going away from me, I don’t generally take that long a shot but we well into the season . Had the blend of 7 1/2 -9 chambered, dusted him . I would recommend the apex turkey load without any reversion!

Drastically out performs other tungsten ammo I’ve tested. At 40 yards, it’s hard to tell exactly how many holes are in the 10” circle because it’s such a dense pattern. You can see the 7.5 shot very tight in the center of the pattern and the 9.5 in an even pattern within and surrounding it. I paired this with an Indian Creek Black Diamond Strike .660 choke and will never need to look elsewhere. Looks great, shoots great, and hits hard.

Absolute stone cold turkey killing machine! Standard choke Stevens 301 20 gauge 280 pellets in 10" circle at 40 yards 55 of these in the kill zone and countless in the body. My son killed his bird at 34 yards never flopped just dead. When I cleaned the brest there were countless pellets deep into the brest, penetration was unbelievable. After shooting just about every shell pattering the gun apex was hands down winner and I will never look for another brand again. If I could give you 10 stars I would!

bought these last spring. shot 2 turkeys this spring and one this fall. great pattern out to 50 yds. with my thompson center 20 gauge. nothing else i tried came close, hits them hard and puts them down. great product. thanks apex. i will never go back i am now a loyal customer. i dont generally write reviews but i really was impressed.

I wanted to see if TSS was worth all the excitement. Got 1 box to try out. After my first 2 birds of the season I got another box. These things are the truth. Not just tight patterns, but they hit so hard that I feel like the range you can take a bird at is significantly further than anything else I’ve shot. 1 more weekend to hunt this season. 1 more bird and I’ll hit my states limit. These will be in my gun.

20 is the new 12 with this load! Patterns were unbelievable out to 50 yards. I will not buy lead again after experience with this, give it a try for yourself and you won’t regret it!
