The 28 gauge is the most underrated subgauge out there, period. Its no secret by now that TSS has revolutionized the subgauge line and the 28 is no exception. Loaded with 1 3/8ox of shot, you can choose either 9 1/2 or 9 shot for maximum pattern density. At 1040 FPS it holds your pattern at range that not even a 3 1/2″ lead 12 gauge can achieve.

My Benelli 28 ga Ultra light with Apex TSS gives me a comfortable highly effective turkey killing machine . I have been knocking the turkeys flat at 40 yards since I began using the # 9 shot TSS .

I have killed 2 birds with the 9 shot. They hit HARD from 10 feet to 45 yards! Absolutely love the 28ga. Won’t ever carry a 12 ga again! Looking to buy another 28ga for a backup gun!

Absolutely amazing! I have a briley custom .518 constriction choke in my o/u 28 gauge. First shot in the pattern board put 318 in a 10 inch circle at 40 yards. Killed a TN long beard at 35 yards and demolished him. I then loaned to a buddy who crushed a bird with it. Now if we can get Apex to offer straight 10's in all their sub gauge offerings we will be in business. Thanks Apex!

Apex 9's and an Indian Creek .525 BDS choke made My Mossberg International SA-28 a real turkey killer. This little gun with this setup is way more fun to hunt and equally as effective as most 12 gauges.
